The Instructor
Rod is a retired law enforcement officer with 32 years of law enforcement experience and qualified at Master Level. He is a P.O.S.T. (Peace Officer Standard of Training) certified instructor, FBI certified weapons instructor, and former NRA instructor.
Rod has trained COPs and civilians alike for over 20 years. He continues to teach first time shooters, advanced weapons and tactics, and CCW classes.
Rod shoots competitively in USPSA, IPSC, and IDPA. In 1996 he competed in the California Police Olympics Combat Pistol and won the Gold Medal in the individual competition.
Rod has attended armor training, and been certified for Glock, Sig Sauer, and Remington.
